For 3yo-&-older trotters. In the event there are nine or fewer acceptors for this race, the club reserves the right to add the lowest rating out-of-form 1-Win trotters from Race 2 or 3, off a handicap of 30 metres. See special condition No.6.
For R35 to R50 3yo-&-older trotting fillies & mares. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Winning Stakes using the track grid. See special condition No.6
For R35 to R60 3yo-&-older trotters. Front: R35 to R39. 10m: R40 to R50. 20m: R51 to R60. See special condition No.6
For 3 yrs & older pacers with no wins for lifetime with 3 or more starts for lifetime with unplaced(4th or lower) in the last 3 starts.
For 3 yrs & older pacing fillies & mares with 1 to 2 wins for lifetime. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Winning Stakes using the track grid. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season.
For 3 yrs & older pacers with 1 win for lifetime. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season. If sufficient nominations this race will be split based on ratings.
For R35 to R59 3 yrs & older pacers with 2 or more wins for lifetime. These races will be split based on ratings. Preferential Barrier Draws will be used if deemed necessary by Ratings. The lowest rating race will be run for $11,000.

  1. RIGHT OF RE-ENTRY TIME


    Shall be 5pm on day before raceday.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS


    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS


    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the club has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the club to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the club of the same.

  4. SPLITTING FIELDS


    In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS


    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.

  6. GOLD CHIP


    For non-win (MR), or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged three years and older at the closing of nominations for the Riverton HRC meeting to be held on Saturday 4th May 2024. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged three years and older that have never won a race (non-winners, MR), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Championship Trot a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Riverton TC, Winton HRC and Invercargill HRC) in the period from 4th May 2024 through to 15th June 2024. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible 3.Field selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 3rds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then Club Discretion. 4.The $15000 Gold Chip Championship held on 22nd June 2024 at the Forbury Park TC meeting and will be raced over 2400m, from a standing start. (non-winners, MR) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap.
