Winton Workouts Friday 13th September 2019

The Winton Workouts were held at the Central Southland Raceway today.

The non-winners 2400 metre mobile was won by the Kirk Larsen trained Targaryen driven by Tristan Larsen.

Stingray Tara and Brent Barclay were a neck away in second with Alacrity Lass in third. The winning time was 3-08.8 with the last 800 metres run in 58.2.

The Learners Trot was won by the well-bred Andy Hall driven by trainer Nathan Williamson.

Andy Hall is a four year old entire by Andover Hall out of Decola making him a half-brother to Splash Cola (9 wins) and Delson (3).

He beat stablemate It’s Summertime a six year old mare by Angus Hall out of Allegro Agitato (22 wins).

It’s Summertime is a half-sister to I Got Rhythm (7) and Gershwin (10).

The winning margin was a head with another head back to Trot Black.

The Clark Barron trained Vergeofgreatness won his mobile heat beating pacemaker Tartan Robyn by a neck.

The overall time was 3-07.1 with the last half run in 56.6.

The well bred unqualified Fireball (Mach Three – Twilight Franco) won for Kennington trainer Greg Hunter.

He beat Tom Wasn’t by a head with Prodigal Pete a neck back in third.
