Shall be 5pm on day before raceday.
ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS
In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS
Owners and Trainers are reminded that the club has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the club to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the club of the same.
SPLITTING FIELDS
In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.
DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS
In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.
GOLD CHIP FINAL
For non-win (MR), or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Winton HRC meeting held on Thursday 8th May 2025. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged two years and older that have never won a race (non-winners, MR), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Championship Trot a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Winton HRC, Invercargill HRC and Forbury Park TC) and have its second win in the period from 8th May 2025 through to 26th June 2025 at a Southern Harness Racing Club meeting. 3. Field selection for the Gold Chip Final will operate as follows: Most wins at during that period at a Southern Harness Racing club meeting, most 2nds during that period at a Southern Harness Racing club meeting, most 3rds during that period at a Southern Harness Racing club meeting, then club discretion. 4. The $15000 Gold Chip Final will be raced over 2700m, from a standing start. Non-win (MR) horses will start off the front. R rated horses off a 20 metre handicap. 6. A horse can only win one Gold Chip Final.
SILK ROAD SOUTHERN WINTERS SERIES NO.2
For fillies and mares up to 2 wins for lifetime. 1. Horses must have competed in a heat to be eligible to contest a final. 2. Heat Winners are automatic qualifiers. 3. Win two heats and you are ineligible to contest a further heat. 4. Win a heat and the Final, the Final is Rating Penalty Free. 5. Mares graduating to 3 or more wins during the series will not be eligible to contest further heats but remain eligible to contest the final. 6. Remainder of the field will be selected by the Bureau, with Preference given to horses that competed in the most heats.
