This race will be selected at the discretion of the bureau with consideration given to horses from Race 2 being off a handicap yet to be determined. See special condition No.6
For R35 to R65 trotters. These race will be selected at the discretion of the bureau to create fairness when determining the split of these races. The winner of the lowest rating race if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season. The lowest rating race will be run for $10,000. See special condition No.6

For 4 yrs & older pacers with 1 win for lifetime. Also R35 to R37 4 yrs & older horses with 2 or more wins for lifetime with unplaced(4th or lower) in the last 3 starts. This race is for Junior Drivers only. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season.

Preferential Barrier Draws will be used if deemed necessary numbering sequentially from 1. The highest rating race will be for $12,000 with others yet to be determined.

  1. RIGHT OF RE-ENTRY TIME


    Shall be 5pm on day before raceday.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS


    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS


    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the bureau has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the bureau to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the bureau of the same.

  4. SPLITTING FIELDS


    In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the bureau's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS


    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.

  6. OPEN NOMINATIONS MEETING


    This meeting is scheduled for 10 races. As an Open Nominations Programme races will be split as & where entries allow. The bureau, in consultation with HRNZ will formulate the fields to be as fair as is practical, taking into account the need to produce optimal betting fields. If a race condition is extended a junior driver concession status may be added to allow those horses into the race.
