NOVEMBER MEETING - Day 1

In the event there are nine or fewer acceptors for this race, the club reserves the right to add the lowest rating out of form 1-win trotters, from Race 2 or 3 off a handicap of 30-metres. See special condition No.6
For R35 to R45 3yo-&-older trotting fillies & mares. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Rating numbering sequentially from 1. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season.
For R35 to R75 trotters. Front: R35 to R40. 10m: R41 to R49. 20m: R50 to R57. 30m: R58 to R65. 40m: R66 to R75. See special condition No.6
For 2-year-old pacers. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Sex (fillies drawn inside colts and geldings) using the track grid. If this race is not held these horses will be transferred to Race 5 and conditions changes.
For 3yo-&-older pacers. If sufficient entries a fillies and mares race may be held
For pacing fillies & mares with 1 to 2 wins for lifetime. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Winning Stakes using the track grid.
For R35 to R60 pacers. This race will be split on ratings. Preferential Barrier Draws will be used if deemed necessary numbering sequentially from 1. The winner of the middle rating race will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season. The lower rating race will be run for $10,000, middle race(s) $11,000 and highest race $12,000.

    Shall be 5pm on day before raceday.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS


    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS


    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the club has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the club to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the club of the same.

  4. SPLITTING FIELDS


    In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS


    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.

  6. GOLD CHIP


    For non-win (MR), or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Oamaru HRC meeting to be held on Thursday 6th November 2025. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged two years and older that have never won a race (non-winners, MR), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Championship Trot a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Oamaru HRC, Winton HRC, Wyndham HRC, Invercargill HRC and Forbury Park TC) in the period from 6th November 2025 through to 19th December 2025. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible 3.Field selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 3rds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then Club Discretion. 4.The $15000 Gold Chip Championship held on 27th December 2025 at the Gore HRC meeting and will be raced over 2700m, from a standing start. (non-winners, MR) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap. Only one Gold Chip Final can be won.
