In the event there are nine or less acceptors, the bureau reserves the right to transfer the lowest rating R35 horses from Race 2 and 3 off a handicap of 30-metres. See special condition No.6
For up to & including R50 trotting fillies & mares. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Rating then Winning Stakes numbering sequentially from 1. For conditions of Series refer to HRNZ website under Race Schedules and Conditions.
For R35 to R60 trotters. Front: R35 to R40. 10m: R41 to R45. 20m: R46 to R50. 30m: R51 to R60. See special condition No.6

For 4 yrs & older pacing colts,geldings & entires with 1 win for lifetime. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season.
For R35 to R60 pacers. This race will be split based on ratings. Preferential Barrier Draws will be used if deemed necessary numbering sequentially from 1. The highest race will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Drivers, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season. The stake for the lowest races will be $12,000, middle race(S) $13,000 and highest $14,000.

  1. RIGHT OF RE-ENTRY


    Shall be 5:00pm on the day before raceday.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS


    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS


    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the bureau has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in the race for which it was nominated to any other race on the programme for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the bureau to exercise its right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as nominator to advise the bureau of the same.

  4. SPLITTING FIELDS


    In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split at the Bureau's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS


    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.

  6. GOLD CHIP


    For non-win, or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Winton HRC meeting to be held on Thursday 7th May 2026. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged two years and older that have never won a race (non-winners, or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Final a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Winton HRC, Invercargill HRC and Forbury Park TC) in the period from 7th May 2026 through to 5th July 2026. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible 3. Field selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most thirds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then club discretion. 4. The $15,000 Gold Chip Championship held on 12th July 2026 at the Invercargill HRC meeting will be raced over 2200m, from a standing start. (Non-winners) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap.
