Brett Gray’s team talk
Ryal Bush trainer Brett Gray has a large team racing across the ten race card at Winton tomorrow.
Here are his thoughts on their form and chances.
Race One: Party Up Denario (Lather Up)
“We’ve had a wee few troubles with her. This week she’s got a good draw. If she goes as good as she did the other day from a bad draw, she’ll be half a chance,” Gray said.
Race Two: High Return (Bettor’s Delight)
“We’ve given him a bit of a freshen up and I’ve been quite happy with his work.”
Race Three: Daisymerollin (What The Hill)
“She’s a bit of a slow learner. We’ve given her a freshen up as well. She’s had no trials or workouts but she seems to be trotting nice at home.”
Race Four: Red Hot Filly Pepper (Sweet Lou)
“She’s been going alright. She can just pace a bit rough and that’s been costing her, but I think she’ll go pretty good this week.”
Race Five: Arma Forrest (Downbytheseaside)
“He’s been racing in better company. He’s had a bit of a mud rash and has only come right. He’s quite a tough bugger and a chance.”
Race Seven: Nek Delight (Bettor’s Delight)
“She had a bad draw the other day and finished right in behind them on the bit. She’s a funny wee thing and it’ll be interesting to see how she goes.”
Race Ten: Better Time (Bettor’s Wish)
“I really like this mare. We’re coming in fresh here. She had a really hard run last time and didn’t really eat for a couple of days. We’re happy with her work and she’s our best bet.”
Race Ten: Drummershavtime (Art Major)
“He’s been pretty consistent and is one of those horses that always seems to draw really well. He was very unlucky the other day. He’ll be a good chance.”
