Branxholme trainer Nathan Williamson has turned out classy pacer Sand Wave (Somebeachsomewhere).

Sand Wave

As a four year old Sandwave struggled to regain the form he had as a late three year old which Williamson feels is due to a number of factors, including a long season without a lengthy break, the cancellation of some races through lack of entries, and viruses.

Gore trainer Tony Stratford looks to have a nice type in Outback Man (He’s Watching).

At Ascot Park on Friday the three year old gelding in the hands of Nathan Williamson ran four rivals off their feet and finished eight seconds under the qualifying time.

Bred and owned by Central Otago Trotting Club President Graham Sinnamon, he’s out of the Grinfromeartoear mare Iodean which won twice. Joyfulbelle (Road Machine) which won eight races is from the same family.

Quality trotter Wai Key Wee (The Pres) has been transferred to Amber Hoffman’s Waikouaiti stable.

The six year old gelding has won six races for Alister Black but has had a few leg issues so it was felt beach training would be better suited for the trotter.
