Better news for Dark Horse

Although quality harness racing mare Dark Horse (Bacardi Lindy) missed getting in foal to Majestic Son last spring the news is better for the next foaling season as she’s had a positive return to the same stallion.

Owned by the Estate of Keith Grice and Bevan Grice, Dark Horse won fourteen races in a career that was interrupted by injury and restricted her to just thirty three starts for Branxholme trainer Nathan Williamson.

Her biggest win was the PGG Wrightson’s Uncut Gems Trotter Classic. She was also placed in the Group One Four Year Old Ruby, Group Three Southern Lights (twice) and Group Three Summer Trotting FFA.

Meanwhile the dam of both Dark Horse and Hidden Talent - Juliana, has a colt foal which is a full brother to both, named Jaguar.

Bevan Grice is also breeding from Sarah Palin, another race winning daughter of Juliana. Sarah Palin has had two foals, both fillies by Majestic Son. Her two year old filly Lipstick is part leased by the Griffins Syndicate and is trained by Margo Nyhan, whilst her yearling has been leased by Nyhan and the Griffins Syndicate.

Sarah Palin won ten races for Nyhan.
