Harness racing returns to the Gore Racecourse this Sunday and the action will be up close on the grass track.

Promotionally the club has thrown the reins at this meeting.

The Gore Cup is the feature pacing race and this year is worth $15,000.

The club have carded the Gore Trotting Cup for the first time with the squaregaiters also racing for $15,000. All other races are worth $10,000.

All winners on the eleven race card will receive a dress rug and a set of coasters and trainers will be well catered for with two $250 prizes up for grabs supplied by Pala Mountain.

The Shark has been given the responsibility of selecting for the Punters Club with a $10 entry fee.

For the children there’ll be a lolly scramble, entertainment and Mr Whippy will be providing all things cool on-course.

For those that don’t have too much luck on the punt there’s five $10 each way draws for any losing tickets.

The Punt for Gold competition is back and all you have to do is pick the first three horse’s home in the Olympic Watches/Millennium Motors Pace. Details are in the race book.

And to keep things light and bright Dene Allen will be entertaining with a good range of music.
