In the event there are 9 or fewer acceptors for this race, the club reserves the right to add the lowest rating out of form 1-win trotters from Race 2, off a handicap of 30 metres. See special condition No.6
For R50 to R80 trotters. Front: R50 to R57. 10m: R58 to R65. 20m: R66 to R73. 30m: R74 to R80. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season.
For 2yo pacers with up to 1 win for lifetime. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Winning Stakes using the track grid. If this race is not held these horses will be transferred to alternative races and conditions changed.
For 3yo-&-older pacers. If sufficient nominations this race will be split based on ratings.
For 3 yrs & older pacers with 1 win for lifetime. If Race 4 is not held those eligible horses will be transferred to this race and conditions changed.
For 3 yrs & older pacing fillies & mares with 1 to 2 wins for lifetime. Also 2yo fillies with 2 wins for lifetime. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Rating using the track grid. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season.
For R35 to R55 3 yrs & older pacers. Also 2yo horses with 2 wins for lifetime. This race will be split (if entries permit) by Ratings. Preferential Barrier Draws will be used if deemed necessary. The lowest rating race will be run for $10,000 and highest race $12,000.

    Shall be 5:00pm on the day before raceday.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS


    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS


    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the club has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in the race for which it was nominated to any other race on the programme for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the Club to exercise its right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as nominator to advise the Club of the same.

  4. SPLITTING FIELDS


    In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS


    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.

  6. GOLD CHIP


    For non-win (MR), or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged three years and older at the closing of nominations for the Winton HRC meeting to be held on Thursday 26th September 2024. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged three years and older that have never won a race (non-winners, MR), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Final a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Winton HRC, Invercargill HRC, Gore HRC, Wyndham HRC and Oamaru HRC) in the period from 26th September through to 31st October 2024. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible 3. Field selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most thirds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then club discretion. 4. The $15,000 Gold Chip Championship held on 10th November 2024 at the Wyndham HRC meeting will be raced over 2400m, from a standing start. (Non-winners, MR) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap.
