For R35 to R40 3yo-&-older trotters. Full conditions of this series can be viewed in the Racing Schedules & Conditions of the HRNZ website.
For R41 to R50 3yo-&-older trotters. Also R51 to R55 if driven by a concession junior driver. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Rating then Winning Stakes numbering sequentially from 1. Full conditions of this series can be viewed in the Racing Schedules & Conditions of the HRNZ website.
For R35 to R50 trotters. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Rating then Winning Stakes numbering sequentially from 1. This race is only for those horses ineligible for the Southern Surge Series, or those horses balloted or eliminated form a Southern Surge Final.
For 2yo pacers with up to 1 win for lifetime. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Winning Stakes then Sex (fillies and mares drawn inside colts, geldings and entires) numbering sequentially from 1. If this race is not held these horses will be transferred to Race 6 or 12 and conditions altered.
For 3yo-&-older pacers. For horses balloted, eliminated or not eligible for the Southern Surge Series Maiden Final.

  1. RIGHT OF RE-ENTRY TIME


    Shall be 5pm on day before raceday.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS


    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS


    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the bureau has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the bureau to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the bureau of the same.

  4. SPLITTING FIELDS


    In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the bureau's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS


    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.
