In the event there are nine or fewer acceptors for this race, the club reserves the right to add the lowest out of form 1-win trotters from Race 2, off a handicap of 30 metres. See special condition No.6
For R35 to R65 trotters. Front: R35 to R40. 10m: R41 to R50. 20m: R51 to R57 colts & geldings. 30m: R58 to R65 colts & geldings. Also eligible will be any horses not accepted, or balloted from Race 3. See special condition No.6
For 4yo-&-older trotting mares. Front: R35 to R60. 10m: R61 to R70. 20m: R71 to R80. 30m: R81 to R120.
For 2-year-old pacers. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Sex (fillies drawn inside colts and geldings) using the track grid. If this race is not held due to insufficient entries these horses will be transferred to races 5 or 6 and conditions changed.
For up to & including R55 2-to-3-year-old pacing colts & geldings. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Winning Stakes using the track grid. If this race is not held these horses will be transferred to races 8, 9 and 10 and conditions changed.
For pacers with 1 win for lifetime. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Sex (fillies and mares drawn inside colts, geldings and entires) using the track grid.
For R35 to R65 4 yrs & older pacers. Also R56 to R65 3 yrs & older horses. Also R66 to R70 if driven by a concession junior driver. These races will be split by Ratings. Preferential Barrier Draws will be used if deemed necessary. The highest two races will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not yet previously won a rating penalty free race this season. The stake for the lowest rating race will be $10,000, middle race(s) $12,000 and highest race $13,000. If race 7 is not held those eligible horses will be transferred to this race and conditions amended accordingly.

  1. RIGHT OF RE-ENTRY TIME


    Shall be 5pm on day before raceday.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS


    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS


    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the club has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the club to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the club of the same.

  4. SPLITTING FIELDS


    In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS


    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.

  6. GOLD CHIP


    For non-win (MR), or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged three years and older at the closing of nominations for the Gore HRC meeting to be held on Thursday 26th September 2024. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged three years and older that have never won a race (non-winners, MR), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Championship Trot a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Gore HRC, Wyndham HRC, Northern Southland TC, Oamaru HRC, Invercargill HRC, Tuapeka HRC and Winton HRC) in the period from 26th September 2024 through to 31st October 2024. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible 3.Field selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 3rds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then Club Discretion. 4.The $15000 Gold Chip Championship held on 10th November 2024 at the Wyndham HRC meeting and will be raced over 2400m, from a standing start. (non-winners, MR) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap.
